Job Purpose
The Promotions and Programming Manager is responsible for driving the success of the events booked by the Head of Electronic Music at Stealth and other venues within the company’s estate. They will oversee and execute innovative promotional strategies and assist the Head of Electronic Music to deliver a dynamic schedule of bookings. This role involves curating engaging events, securing talent, and ensuring the Stealth brand’s offerings remain fresh and appealing to its target audience. The manager will collaborate closely with the marketing, ticketing and operations teams to design and implement promotional campaigns that enhance the visibility of the Stealth brand, increase customer engagement, and boost revenue. By analysing trends in dance music and target audience preferences, the Promotions and Programming Manager ensures that every event is memorable, maximizing both customer satisfaction and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- EVENT PROGRAMMING AND CURATION
- Develop and manage the Stealth event calendar, ensuring a mix of well-known and emerging DJs, themed nights, and special events that attract diverse audiences are scheduled.
- Curate and book talent for weekly events, including headline DJs, support acts, and special guests, ensuring a high-quality experience for attendees.
- Liaise with Stealth General Manager to ensure technical and logistical requirements of artists are met
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop event concepts and create compelling event narratives to attract the venue’s target audience.
- PROMOTIONS AND MARKETING
- Design and implement creative promotional campaigns to generate excitement and awareness for upcoming events, including digital marketing, social media, email newsletters, influencer partnerships, and on-site promotions.
- Increase interaction with social media platforms, relevant blogs, and community groups to increase visibility for the Stealth brand and it’s events.
- Partner with local and national brands, influencers, and media outlets to maximize promotional opportunities for the venue and its events.
- Track and analyse promotional performance to refine strategies and ensure effective audience engagement.
- REVENUE GROWTH AND BUDGET MANAGEMENT
- Work closely with the Stealth General Manager to set event budgets and ensure profitability by managing costs associated with talent bookings, marketing, and event production.
- Identify and implement opportunities for upselling, VIP packages, and special ticketing to maximize revenue for each event.
- Monitor ticket sales and adjust promotional strategies to optimize attendance and revenue.
- CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE AND ENGAGEMENT
- Ensure that all events deliver exceptional experiences that align with Stealth’s brand and culture, providing high-energy, visually stimulating, and immersive environments.
- Work with the Stealth General Manager to ensure smooth execution of events, including sound, lighting, and crowd management.
- Collect feedback from customers and adjust future programming based on preferences and industry trends.
- NETWORKING WITH ARTISTS
- Build and maintain relationships with artists, agents, promoters, and industry professionals to stay connected to trends and secure top-tier talent.
- Attend relevant festivals and events to stay updated on industry trends, talent, and new promotional ideas.
- Ensure that artists, agents and promoters enjoy their time in Nottingham and want to work with us in the future.
- Act as artists liaison at the venue ensuring artists stick to agreed set times and that the event runs smoothly
- Completion of settlements with external promoters
Experience, Skills, Attributes & Qualifications
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays, as events are often scheduled during peak nightlife hours.
- Ability to attend and oversee live events on-site, including managing the setup and coordination of the event.
- Proven experience in promotions, event programming, or entertainment management, ideally within the nightlife or electronic music industry.
- Strong knowledge of and passion for the dance music scene, including major artists, genres, trends, and fan demographics.
- Experience in booking talent, negotiating contracts, and managing event budgets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with artists, staff, and partners.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment with flexibility to handle late-night events.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Proficiency in social media platforms, digital marketing, and event management software.
