Cashier (Rescue Rooms and Stealth)

Part-time 25 to 30 hours per week (depending on venue trade). Monday, Tuesday and Friday will be essential days for work.

Hourly Rate £8.50- with a review after 3-6 months

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for preparing floats for following days trade.
  • Counts the takings of the venue
  • Daily cash reconciliations
  • Responsible for declaring the takings on the Zonal system, all relevant training is provided
  • Responsible for ordering change for the following weeks trade.
  • Collating invoices and receipts.
  • Recording of petty cash spend, ensuring back up invoices are provided
  • Responsible for ensuring that the cash machine has sufficient money inside.
  • Responsible for cash machine reconciliation
  • Responsible for issuing new safe access codes to new management.
  • Signing off money for transport to bank.
  • Control checks e.g. to till read-outs, safe checks with managers
  • Preparation of weekly Cashier Returns
  • Liaison with Cash Manager
  • Providing support for the Festival team / External events team

Ideal Experience Required

  • Knowledge of Cash Control Practices
  • Experience of high volume cash management
  • Working knowledge of cash collections and banking
  • Working knowledge of computers and software with good keyboard skills
  • Willingness to undertake a Criminal Records Background Check
