I’m Clementine and the current Promotions Coordinator at the legendary Rescue Rooms! I spend most of my days uploading to our socials and planning events, and my evenings getting hundreds of Nottingham’s finest into our venue for our club and bar events, looking after our amazing DJs and blowing up lots of balloons.
I came into this career by joining a student events company whilst I was at uni, mainly just flyering and selling tickets for commission at first and then working my way up to management by the time I was in my third year. During the pandemic I moved to Nottingham, and unfortunately most venues weren’t open or weren’t hiring, so I did a lot of odd jobs, but managed to land myself this role with DHP in mid 2021. I was brought on part time at first, but after managing a promo team and orchestrating my first freshers week I was offered the role full time and given more responsibilities, which was a massive boost to my confidence.
Working for DHP has been fab, as someone who was new to the city I was welcomed so warmly and also introduced to some great other venues that are a part of the company. I’ve been able to have some great career opportunities here, such as being able to take the lead on our Alternative Freshers Fair, and also help out on the Live side, learning new skills and seeing how Rescue Rooms operates on all sides. I’m hoping to stay on with DHP long term, and I know that it’s the type of place where I can grow and develop in a lot of different fields, so it will always stay interesting!
