DHP Family Does the Double Winning Second Music Promoter of the Year
We’re delighted to have been crowned Promoter of the Year for the second time this year, taking home Live Music Promoter of the Year at the Live UK Music Business Awards after being awarded the accolade in the Music Week awards in May.
The Live Music Business Awards 2019 recognise excellence and talent across the UK music industry to celebrate the very best promoters, venue operators, festival organisers and agents, through to artiste managers, tour managers, show producers, brand impact and record label partnerships.
Our Director of Live, Anton Lockwood said: “How about that, we’ve only gone and done the double! By walking away with the Live UK National Promoter award last night we’ve won both main promoter trophies in the same year! Massive thanks to everyone – both the artists, managers, agents and venues we work with, and our amazing team of people across promoters, assistants, marketing/creative, ticketing, production & finance, we’re all proud of where we have got to, and how we’ve got here!”
We’ve experienced unprecedented growth in recent years with a focus on live development of acts playing everything from intimate venues up to some of the biggest international artists playing UK tours in world-renowned arenas.
The gold rush didn’t end there with our flagship venue Rock City in Nottingham also winning the title of Best Major Club (cap 800+) beating off the challenge from Camden’s Electric Ballroom and O2 Academy in Bristol.
Rock City general manager Will Richardson said: “As we’re getting ready to celebrate our 40th next year, it’s great to win this award. We’re delighted all our hard work is paying off as we continue to go from strength to strength building on the venue’s amazing legacy and bringing in new audiences all the time too.”
